RECORDATORIOS DE ENERO / JANUARY REMINDERS

 Recuerde ser puntual y respetar el horario de recibimiento y entrada a clases de los niños, así como su hora de salida y entrega.

• En el caso de Happy Faces se reciben niños desde las 7:00 a.m. hasta las 8:50 a.m. (Después de las 9:00 a.m. NO estaremos recibiendo alumnos a menos que tenga un permiso previo). 
• A la hora de salida de los niños de Nursery2 no los entregamos sino a partir de las 11:15 am por favor NO TOQUE el timbre antes de la hora. 
• En el caso de Cumbres, recibimos alumnos desde las 7:10 a.m. hasta las 8:00 a.m. (hora en la cual empiezan clase los alumnos, por lo cual las maestras NO pueden desatenderlos y abrir el portón). En Cumbres, la formalidad y el respeto al horario de clases es un requisito por lo que solo bajo excusa o permiso previo puede un alumno llegar tarde.
• La hora de salida de clases en Cumbres es a las 2:30 p.m. en días normales, y 3:30 p.m. en el caso de extracurriculares. Rogamos puntualidad a la hora de recoger a su hijo(a).
• ¡Nuevamente, gracias por su apoyo!

FECHAS IMPORTANTES:  

• Viernes 17 de enero – ENTREGA DE CALIFICACIONES DEL SEGUNDO PARCIAL. Los alumnos de Nursery y Prekínder NO asisten a clases este día ya que las maestras tendrán conferencias de padres durante el día. Los alumnos de Kínder a Cuarto Grado salen a las 12:15 m ya que los maestros tendrán conferencias con padres de familia por la tarde. 
• Viernes 24 de enero – Celebración de 100 DAYS OF SCHOOL. Favor revisar los blogs para estar al tanto de las indicaciones de cada maestra acerca de la celebración y actividades de este día.   

Remember to be on time for school, and respect the established times when children are to arrive to school as well as when they are dismissed at the end of the school day. 

• Happy Faces Preschool receives children from 7:00 a.m. to 8:50 a.m. (After 9:00 a.m. we will NOT receive students unless you have prior permission).
• Dismissals for Nursery 2 students is until 11:15 a.m. Please DO NOT ring the bell before that time.
• Cumbres School receives students from 7:10 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. (time when students begin their school day, therefore teachers CANNOT leave them unattended and open the gate). At Cumbres, the respect for our school schedule is required, so only with an excuse or prior permission can a student be late.
• Dismissal at the end of the day for Cumbres is at Cumbres is 2:30 p.m. on regular days, and 3:30 p.m. for extracurricular activities. Please be on time when you pick up your child. 
• Again, thank you for your support in respecting the established times!

IMPORTANT DATES:

• Friday, January 17 – REPORT CARDS AND CONFERENCES FOR THE SECOND QUARTER. Nursery and Prekindergarten students do NOT attend school on this day as teachers will have conferences with parents during the day. Kindergarten through Fourth Grade students are dismissed at 12:15 p.m. as teachers will have conferences in the afternoon.
• Friday, January 24 – 100 DAYS OF SCHOOL Celebration. Please check your grade’s blog for instructions from your child’s teacher for the celebration and activities that day.

RECORDATORIOS IMPORTANTES: 

1. ¡Favor enviar el regalo que Santa le dará a su hijo(a) el día del show navideño esta semana! Este debe venir rotulado con el nombre completo de su hijo(a) y el grado al cual asiste.

2. De no haberlo hecho aun, le solicitamos cancelar la contribución del convivio navideño a la mayor brevedad posible.

3. Les recordamos consultar el blog del grado de su hijo(a) para saber como debe venir vestido ese día.

SEMANA DEL 11 al 15 DE NOVIMEBRE / WEEK OF NOVEMBER 11 - 15, 2024

 Esta semana estaremos enviando los reportes de progreso del segundo parcial. Favor estar atentos a los comentarios hechos por las maestras con respecto al desempeño académico y social de su hijo. 

Esta semana nuestros alumnos de Cuarto Grado tendrán su día de “MATILDA” el lunes 11 de noviembre, para así celebrar haber concluido la lectura de este fabuloso libro escrito por Roald Dahl. 

El viernes 15 de noviembre los alumnos de Segundo Grado tendrán su Museo “ONCE UPON A TIME” en el cual estarán mostrando objetos del pasado, y explicando como estos han evolucionado en el pasar del tiempo. 

Como pueden ver, nuestra escuela siempre incluye vivencias y actividades divertidas, que afianzan el aprendizaje de nuestros alumnos. 

This week we will be sending out the progress reports for the second quarter. Please be on the lookout for comments made by the teachers regarding your child's academic and social performance.

This week our Fourth Grade students will have their “MATILDA” day on Monday, November 11, to celebrate having finished reading this fabulous book written by Roald Dahl.

Friday, November 15, the Second Grade students will have their “ONCE UPON A TIME” Museum in which they will be displaying objects from the past, and explaining how they have evolved over time.

As you can see, our school always includes fun experiences and activities that reinforce our students' learning.

 Con mucha emoción recibimos el mes de Novimebre, el cual viene lleno de actividades muy bonitas para los niños! Es el mes en el cual, por la celebración de “Thanksgiving” (Acción de Gracias), hacemos énfasis en el valor de la GRATITUD y, por la proximidad con la Navidad, el valor de la GENEROSIDAD. 

Fechas Importantes Para Tomar En Cuenta:

• Viernes 15: Reportes de Progreso del Segundo Parcial se envían a casa 
• Miércoles 27: Fiesta de Acción de Gracias y Cumpleañeros del Mes de noviembre y diciembre. Este día los niños asisten con ropa de colores de otoño. Los alumnos de Kinder a Cuarto Grado salen a las 12:15 p.m. este día. 
• FERIADO DE THANKSGIVING: jueves 28 y viernes 29 

Recordatorios:

• Por favor estemos atentos a los cambios de clima y los frentes fríos característicos de estas fechas. Refuerce las defensas de su hijo y recuerde que en la tarde-noche bajan las temperaturas y ellos deben abrigarse.
• Apóyenos en la prevención de los contagios. Si su niño se encuentra bajo sospecha de posible enfermedad, NO LO ENVÍE A LA ESCUELA hasta que se encuentre fuera de peligro y/o bien recuperado. Cuando la enfermedad es viral y la vía de contagio es aérea, es más difícil de controlar, por lo que debe permanecer en reposo. Gracias por su comprensión y apoyo

We are excited to welcome the month of November, which is full of wonderful activities for our students! It is the month in which, due to the celebration of “Thanksgiving”, we emphasize the value of GRATITUDE and, due to its proximity to Christmas, the value of GENEROSITY.

Important Dates to Keep in Mind:

• Friday the 15th: Second Partial Progress Reports are sent home
• Wednesday the 27th: Thanksgiving Party and Birthday Celebrations for November and December. birthdats On this day, children come to school dressed in fall-colored clothes. Kindergarten through Fourth Grade students are dismissed at 12:15 p.m. this day.
• THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY: Thursday the 28th and Friday the 29th

Reminders: 

• Please be alert to changes in weather and cold fronts characteristic of this time of the year. Strengthen your child's defenses and remember that in the evening temperatures drop and they should be dressed warmly.
• Support us in preventing contagions. If your child is suspected of having a possible illness, DO NOT SEND HIM/HER TO SCHOOL until he is out of danger and/or has fully recovered. When the illness is viral and the route of contagion is airborne, it is harder to control, so he/she should rest at home. Thank you for your understanding and support.
