Al retomar clases queremos hacerles algunos
recordatorios:
Los alumnos NO DEBEN / PUEDEN asistir enfermos a clases.
·
Si su hijo (a) presenta un cuadro gripal debe
restablecerse en casa. Si presenta calentura debe permanecer en casa 48 horas
en observación y de ser necesario llevarlo al pediatra.
·
Los alumnos que presenten tos o secreciones nasales
serán revisados por nuestra doctora y de requerirse se llamará a sus padres
para que los recojan y se recuperen en casa.
·
Prevenir los contagios de RSV, INFLUENZA A y B, y
COVID-19 es responsabilidad de todos como comunidad e inicia por el respeto a
la salud de los demás. Gracias de antemano por su colaboración.
Seamos puntuales apoyando la hora de entrada a clases y su hora de
salida.
·
En el caso del portón de Happy Faces se
reciben niños desde las 7:00 a.m. hasta las 8:50 a.m. (Después de las 9:00 a.m.
NO estaremos recibiendo alumnos a menos que tenga un permiso previo).
·
A la hora de salida de los niños de Nursery2 no los
entregamos sino a partir de las 11:15 am por favor NO TOQUE el timbre antes de
la hora.
·
En el caso del portón de Cumbres, recibimos
alumnos desde las 7:10 a.m. hasta las 8:00 a.m. (hora en la cual empiezan clase
los alumnos, por lo cual las maestras NO pueden desatenderlos y abrir el
portón). En Cumbres, la formalidad y el respeto al horario de clases es un
requisito por lo que solo bajo excusa o permiso previo puede un alumno llegar
tarde. ¡Nuevamente, gracias por su apoyo!
Uso del UNIFORME: este es de carácter OBLIGATORIO para
todos nuestros alumnos. El uso de jeans, leggins, u otros NO es permitido en
Cumbres. Si tiene dudas sobre los días de uniforme con Educación
Física (P. E.) por favor revise el blog donde está su horario de clases o
consulte con la maestra.
MERIENDAS: Recordemos variar las meriendas de los alumnos y
seguir las recomendaciones de una alimentación nutritiva y balanceada. Los
dulces, chocolates o postres por su alto contenido de azúcar NO SON PERMITIDOS.
Siempre recomendamos que el alumno debe traer a la escuela un termo con agua, e
incluyamos en la lonchera fruta fresca, verduras, yogurt y alimentos elaborados
en casa en la medida posible.
ACTIVIDADES EXTRACURRICULARES:

Las actividades para prescolar (Nursery y
PreKinder) comienzan esta semana
·
Las actividades para Kínder a Tercer grado
comienzan el martes 30 de enero.
FECHAS IMPORTANTES:

Miércoles 17 de enero – los alumnos de Kínder a Tercer Grado salen a las 12:15 m ya que los
maestros tienen tarde de desarrollo profesional.
·
Viernes 26 de enero – Celebración de 100 DAYS OF SCHOOL. Favor revisar los blogs
para estar al tanto de las indicaciones de cada maestra.
·
Viernes 26 de enero - Entrega de calificaciones del segundo bimestre. Los alumnos de Kínder
a Tercer Grado salen a las 12:15 m ya que los maestros tienen agendadas
conferencias con padres de familia.
As we resume classes this week, we want to provide some very important
reminders for you:
Students SHOULD
NOT / CANNOT attend school if they are sick.

If your child has the flu, he/she should recover at
home. If they have a fever, they should stay at home for 48 hours for
observation and, if necessary, be taken to the pediatrician.
·
Students who have a cough or runny nose will be
checked by our doctor and, if necessary, parents will be called to pick them up
so they can recover at home.
·
Preventing the spread of RSV, INFLUENZA A and B, and
COVID-19 is everyone’s responsibility as part of our community and begins with
respect for the health of others. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Let's be prompt (on
time) with school arrival and dismissal times.

Happy Faces’ Front Gate - children are received in
school from 7:00 a.m. until 8:50 a.m. (After 9:00 a.m. we will NOT be receiving
students unless you have been given prior permission).
·
We begin dismissing our Nursery2 students at 11:15 am,
please DO NOT RING the bell before that time.
·
Cumbres’ Front Gate - we receive students from
7:10 a.m. until 8:00 a.m. (Class begins at 8:00 a.m. sharp, and teachers CANNOT
leave students unattended to open the front gate).
·
At Cumbres, formality and respect for the school
schedule is an expectation, therefore late arrivals are only allowed if a
student has prior authorization. Again, thank you for your cooperation with
this.
The use of UNIFORMS:
this is MANDATORY for all our students. The use of jeans, leggings,
or other clothing is NOT allowed in Cumbres. If you have questions about
uniform days for Physical Education (P.E.), please check the class schedule on
your grade blog or ask your child’s teacher.
SNACKS: Let's try to keep
our students' snacks varied, following the recommendations for a nutritious and
balanced diet. Sweets, chocolates or desserts due to their elevated sugar
content ARE NOT ALLOWED. We always recommend that the student bring a water
thermos/bottle to school, and encourage you to include fresh fruit, vegetables,
yogurt, and home-cooked foods as much as possible.
EXTRACURRICULAR
ACTIVITIES:

Preschool activities (Nursery and Pre-Kinder)
begin this week.
·
Activities for Kindergarten through Third grade
begin Tuesday, January 30.
IMPORTANT DATES:

Wednesday, January 17 – Early Dismissal (12:15 m)
for students in grades Kindergarten through Third Grade Teachers have an Professional
Development afternoon scheduled that day.
·
Friday, January 26 – 100 DAYS OF SCHOOL
Celebration. Please check your child’s blog for information your child’s
teacher will be sharing regarding that event.
·
Friday, January 26 – Report Cards for the Second
Quarter will be issued. Students in grades Kindergarten through Third Grade students
will be dismissed from school at 12:15 pm as teachers have scheduled
conferences (on a need basis) with parents that afternoon.
