WHAT IS COMING UP? / QUE VIENE AHORA?

 January 27 marked the 100^th day of school at Happy Faces and Cumbres School. The 100th day offers students and teachers time to reflect on the work done by students and allows schools to celebrate achievements and accomplishments. We celebrated this day with special activities and games with the little ones. K-2 students reflected on how far we have come so far and how much more there is yet to accomplish. We had fun admiring the different 100 Days of School T-Shirts that students wore to school (thank you parents for your support!).

As we are ready to begin the month of February, we want to remind parents that:

• Tuesday January 31: After School Activities for K-2 begin. There is still time to join! Activities run Tuesday through Friday.
• Wednesday, February 8 Early Dismissal: CANCELLED. This will be a regular school day.
• Tuesday, February 14: Valentine's Day Celebration (and birthday celebration for January and February). Students come to school wearing red clothes.
• Friday, February 17: Midterm Progress Reports for the Third Quarter go home
• Monday, February 20: Winter Break HOLIDAY

 

El 27 de enero marcó el día número 100 de clases en Happy Faces y Cumbres School. El día número 100 ofrece a los estudiantes y maestros tiempo para reflexionar sobre el trabajo realizado por los estudiantes y permite que las escuelas celebren los logros y logros. Celebramos este día con actividades especiales y juegos con los más pequeños. Los estudiantes de K-2 reflexionaron sobre lo lejos que hemos llegado hasta ahora y cuánto más queda por lograr. Nos divertimos admirando las diferentes camisetas de 100 Days of School que los estudiantes usaron para ir a la escuela (¡gracias padres por su apoyo!).

Como estamos listos para comenzar el mes de febrero, queremos recordarles a los padres que:

• Martes 31 de enero: Comienzan las actividades después de la escuela para K-2. ¡Todavía hay tiempo para unirse! Las actividades se realizan de martes a viernes.

• Miércoles 8 de febrero Salida Temprana: CANCELADA. Este será un día escolar
  
  
  regular.
• Martes 14 de febrero: Celebración de San Valentín (y celebración de cumpleaños para enero y febrero). Los estudiantes vienen a la escuela vestidos de rojo.
• Viernes 17 de febrero: Los informes de progreso de mitad de período para el tercer trimestre van a casa
• Lunes 20 de febrero: FERIADO Vacaciones de invierno

Next Friday is an important day at Happy Faces and Cumbres School.

El próximo viernes es un día importante en Happy Faces y Cumbres School.

We celebrate 100 Days of School! Students are encouraged to come to school using a decorative shirt for the 100 days. We will have special activities in class to commemorate this important milestone.

 Celebramos los 100 Días de Escuela! Invitamos a los estudiantes a asistir ese dia a la escuela usando una camisa decorativa para los 100 días. Tendremos actividades especiales en clase para conmemorar este importante día.

We will also be handing out the report cards for the second quarter. Student will be taking the report cards home and will be dismissed from school at 12:15 m.

El viernes 27 también estaremos entregando las boletas de calificaciones del segundo parcial. Los estudiantes llevarán las boletas de calificaciones a casa y saldrán de la escuela a las 12:15 m.

Teachers will be contacting the parents of students with whom they want to meet and will keep the report cards to hand out during the conference. If a parent wants to meet with a teacher and a conference was not requested on Monday, please feel free to contact your child’s teacher and set up a time to meet.

Los maestros se comunicarán con los padres de los estudiantes con quienes necesitan reunirse y guardarán las boletas de calificaciones para entregarlas durante la conferencia. Si un padre quiere reunirse con un maestro y este no se solicitó una conferencia, no dude en comunicarse con el maestro de su hijo(a) y programar una cita para reunirse.

WELCOME BACK DRAGONS!

We hope you all had a great Winter break, and you are ready for the second semester of this school year.

Please bear in mind the following information:

1.     Next Wednesday, October 18 students will be dismissed from school at 12:15 m. since our teachers have a scheduled Professional Development for that afternoon.

2.     Report Cards for the second quarter will be issued on Friday, January 27. Teachers will be requesting conferences on a need basis. Students will be dismissed from school at 12:15 m. so teachers can conduct the conferences with parents and students.

3.     After School Activities for Quarter 3 will begin on Tuesday, January 31. The sign-up letter will be sent home next week.

¡BIENVENIDOS DRAGONES!

Esperamos que hayan tenido unas excelentes vacaciones de invierno y que estén listos para el segundo semestre de este año escolar.

Favor tener en cuenta la siguiente información:

1.     El próximo miércoles 18 de octubre los estudiantes saldrán de la escuela las 12:15 m. ya que nuestros maestros tienen un Desarrollo Profesional programado para esa tarde.

2.     Las boletas de calificaciones del segundo parcial serán entregadas el viernes 27 de enero. Los maestros solicitarán conferencias según sea necesario. Los estudiantes saldrán de la escuela a las 12:15 m. para que los maestros puedan llevar a cabo las conferencias con los padres y los estudiantes.

3.     Las Actividades Extracurriculares para el tercer parcial comenzarán el martes 31 de enero. La carta de inscripción se enviará a casa la próxima semana.
